Leave No Room for the Devil
‘Give an inch, take a mile’ - a popular idiom describing folks that try to take major advantage of small concessions given to them. Satan is no different in his evil agenda to pollute and destroy the human race, which is why we are admonished in scripture to give him no room (Ephesians 4:27 AMPC).
Several Christians are sadly, falsely optimistic; so they stand by thoughtlessly watching Satan’s varied attempts to wreak havoc on the nations, believing that it’s better to just ignore them, than to try to deal with them. But the Lord Jesus told us what to do with regards to demons – He told us to cast them out! Mark 16:17 NIV says, “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons;”
We must understand that the only restraining force on the earth is the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s our responsibility to fight in prayer- in the spiritual, because as declared by our Lord Jesus, we belong to a Kingdom that’s not of this world (John 18:36). We have a responsibility for our world to subdue the forces of darkness through prayer.
